Councils in the north east have called for the section from Hook Moor in Yorkshire where the M1 link road joins the A1 M to Washington to be renumbered as the M1.
They maintain that this would raise the profile of the north-east and be good for business. It will also improve safety along this route, as well as creating a new corridor to the North East, and reducing congestion on the M1 around Sheffield and Leeds. Although most people associate the character with the animated classic, Captain Hook costumes actually date all the way back to performances of the play that popularized the entire Peter Pan universe. Through the years, the persona of the character has endured, and Captain Hook costumes include the key elements of a long black wig, a hook hand prosthetic, and pirate garb that hails from the colonial days.
Many women have delivered memorable stage performances of the titular role of Peter Pan, and although women do not generally portray the pirate, anything is possible with an appropriate women’s Captain Hook costume. For the tiniest swashbucklers wading in the shallow end of the high seas, toddler Captain Hook costumes ensure the tots steal a few hearts, at the very least.

News sites have found they have no choice but to work with the two tech giants, however: Facebook, with its 2bn users, and Google, which directs 10bn clicks a month to publishers, are where their readers are. So there is no confusion about where the power lies. That is unlikely to change much in future, although publishers are fighting back a bit. In America a consortium of nearly 2, news organisations, the News Media Alliance, is asking Congress for an antitrust exemption to allow publishers to negotiate collectively with the two firms.
That the tech giants are making concessions on some of these points may be because they sense that the political mood is turning against them in America and in Europe, or because of genuine concern for the media ecosystem.

Friday, July 24, Peterborough to Bobcaygeon Our stay at Peterborough Marina was just wonderful, but we wanted to get underway earlier on Thursday morning so we were up around and ready to go by 8: Knowing that the locks were not going to be open and ready to go until 9: About the time we were getting ready to leave we saw that about 6 boats were leaving all at the same time before we did and assuming they too were on their way to the lock we waited.
We were joined in the lock with 4 other boats. We would continue on through the next 7 locks with these folks as the locks were so very close together. By the time we went through the 2nd lock of the day everyone had a rhythm as to how we entered and exited the lock. It was a tight squeeze but everything went extremely smoothly. So thankful I was for the young man in the boat next to us as we entered the lock as we were coming in beside him he would hold his boat hook out to give us a little tap to get us up against the wall.
Later in the day Mike and I discussed how most boaters were just wonderful like this young man was and then every now and then you get a cranky one that is always in a hurry, which we had one of these with our group of 5, he and his wife and son were on a pontoon boat and was complaining about how slow we were getting out of the lock. Oh well, we tried not to let his rudeness ruin our whole day.
We were packed in tight Standing at the bow of the boat in the lock holding the lines, right where the water comes in. Our second lock of the day was the Peterborough lift lock.
